Our traditional summer camp program offers the quintessential overnight camping experience where everyone has the opportunity to build new friendships and be a part of the camp community. Typical cabins house 8 campers and 2 counselors. Cabins are located in villages, which are divided by age groups. With daily group games, cabin bonding activities, and camp-wide events throughout the session, there’s always something to look forward to!
Camp Tockwogh’s Traditional Overnight Camp offers one-week and two-week session options. Two-week sessions last for 12 days and allow campers to develop deeper connections with their cabin-mates while participating in additional activities and camp traditions like Tockwogh Games, Beach Day, and Carnival Day. One-week sessions run Sunday to Friday and are a great trial before a longer session of camp!
There’s no shortage of activities each day at Camp Tockwogh! Smiles are not listed in the daily schedule, we find there’s too many of them to count each day!
TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE:
While Camp Tockwogh might look big, our cabin units and villages make it feel small! With 7-9 campers and 1-2 counselors, the cabin group makes up your child’s “family” while at camp.
Devotions: Each night, cabin groups get to know each other, reflect on their day at camp, play games, and just hang out! Many campers say devotions were some of their favorite memories from camp!
Camp is divided into villages. Each village is comprised of two grade groups. For example, the Pawnee village is made up of female-identifying campers who completed the 2nd and 3rd grades. Each village has their own Village Coordinator that is there to check in on each camper. Everyday, cabin groups will be scheduled to do an activity as a village or entire camp.
Each day, campers participate in 5 scheduled activity sessions and free choice activities. At the beginning of the session, campers will choose their 5 scheduled activities for the week. Before coming to camp, they can pre-select two (one land activity, one water activity) as their top-choices. Campers are welcome to change an activity after trying it out for two days. Free choice activities are not pre-selected and include things like tubing, pool, talent shows, s’mores on the beach, large group games, and more!
